Surprises me there hasn't been any response, especially considering when I tried searching for solutions the vast majority of results were on game forums here, with developers seemingly doing all they can to make sense of this issue.

Update: It seems using GC only worked as a fix about four times in that web session, and I haven't been able to get the game in question to load since. So I guess GC is as good as a 'fix' as anything else, much quicker to do, and if it doesn't work, it doesn't seem anything else will.

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
