C drive is full when D drive is empty
Permalink

Hello,

I know this is a common issue and there's lots of advice available but none of it has worked for me. I'd be very grateful if someone can tell the solution.

I allocated 30GB to the C drive and 470GB to the D drive. C is almost full while D is almost empty. I want to extend C drive and I thought it would be easy to make use of D drive's space, but it ain't panned out that way.

My laptop has Windows 8.1 and I've used both the inbuilt Disk Management tool and minitool partition wizard. Neither worked. The advice for both tools suggests that I can use the cursor to extend the C drive, but it won't work. There's no space left to extend to. So how to do I take some of D's space and give it to C?

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
