Hi all, I'm renting a small, in-law cottage behind a main house. I have a WiFi range extender that gives me access to the house's network, but even with a strong signal, the internet goes down often, with no one in the main house to restart the modem/router. My cottage is on the same cable line as the rest of the house, so I'm wondering, can I have my own modem on the same line, to allow me access to my own network that I control? Are there any other options using the cable jacks? Thanks in advance.
