Thanks for Richie and Brad's answer What you both said encourage me want to sell my girl friend's "lots of cloth" She has a habit that keep the label I am going to drown "in the cloth"
I think I agree with Richie. The value that something has is primarily one of perception.
Typically 2nd hand items are viewed as "used" but if you can make story such that the item is "classic", or "vintage" then it can hold more value.
My wife shows me handbags that cost a fortune new and are worth even more secondhand. I think she does this so I won't mind her buying expensive handbags though.
One of the oldest businesses is buying broken things and fixing them so that they have value again.
What 2nd hand things were you thinking of selling Derek?
Business person earns money between cost and price.
Buyer buy the stuff because they think it is worth especially second hand stuff.
Amateur seller sell it not for earning money... just because the stuff is no worth for them anymore ,but that's not mean they don't have worth.
So you can get money from second hands stuff for sure.
Every business is "need and provide" .And I think second hands stuff has more potential than new stuff. Jus like property .Nothing is same stuff.Because second hands stuff has many different situation in that.
Maybe someone prefer pay more money to buy some second hands stuff look like new. And someone just want to buy cheapest "stuff" whatever the situation is good or not.But new stuff has many things same . so you must face more competition
